Charley's Pub & Grill at Anazeh Sands Billiards
1339 28th Street SW
Wyoming, MI 49509

Tournament step Time
Check-in opens 10:30 a.m.
Check-in closes 10:45 a.m.
Tournament play begins 11:00 a.m.

The official venue website says the billiards room opens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Competitors should still follow the tournament check-in window rather than assuming ordinary venue hours control event registration.

Who is eligible to enter the MVP Tournament?

APA of West Michigan lists three key eligibility conditions:

  • The player must have earned an APA of West Michigan MVP award between Summer 2025 and Summer 2026.
  • The player must have completed at least four matches in Spring 2026.
  • The player must be on a team in the current session.

All three conditions matter. Winning an MVP award in the stated period does not by itself replace the match requirement or current-team requirement.

How does pre-registration work?

Pre-registration is mandatory, and the deadline is 5:00 p.m. on October 23, 2026, Michigan time.

Players are instructed to send the following information:

  • Full name.
  • Current skill level.
  • The format in which the MVP award was earned.
  • The session in which the MVP award was earned.

Registration can be submitted by text to 616-292-8599 or by email to [email protected]. Walk-in entry is not promised because the announcement repeatedly states that advance registration is required.

How much is the entry fee and payout?

The entry fee is $10 per player. APA of West Michigan advertises 100% payback plus added cash.

The announcement does not publish the total added amount or a payout chart. The final payout may therefore depend on the number of registered players and the event's tournament structure.

Door prizes and a 50/50 drawing are also planned. Those activities are separate from the tournament payout and should not be treated as guaranteed prize money for every entrant.

What format will the tournament use?

Games will alternate between 8-Ball and 9-Ball. The official post does not publish race lengths, bracket type or a detailed round sequence.

Players should arrive prepared for both games rather than assuming they will compete only in the format in which they earned the MVP award. Current skill level is part of the required registration information, which allows the organizers to prepare the field before tournament day.

What should players bring on October 24?

Eligible entrants should bring their cue equipment, APA membership information and proof of the registration details they submitted. Arriving during the 10:30-10:45 a.m. check-in window is essential because play is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.

The host venue advertises seven-foot and nine-foot Diamond tables as well as seven-foot Valley tables. The tournament announcement does not specify which tables will be assigned, so competitors should not assume a particular table size.

What is Charley's and Anazeh Sands Billiards?

Charley's Pub & Grill and Anazeh Sands Billiards operate at the same Wyoming, Michigan address. The venue describes Anazeh Sands as a family-owned billiards business serving the Grand Rapids and Wyoming area, with league play, open play, a pro shop and poolside food and beverage service.
