Who is eligible to enter?

The guidelines require ACS players to have completed at least four full matches over a minimum of four full weeks in any ACS- or CCS-sanctioned league since June 1, 2026. American CueSports also states that sanctioned player members paying the $25 sanction fee can enter the singles events without the league-play qualification.

Teams may carry up to eight players on a roster, and the team rating cap is calculated from the four highest-rated players.

Unranked players without supporting performance data cannot enter the Recreational or Standard singles divisions and must play as Open ranked or higher. Professional players may enter only when their individual CSR, or their team's CSR, stays below the cap for the chosen event.

How much are the entry fees?

Each published total fee splits into entry, registration and green-fee components.

What are the deadlines and refund rules?

Player rankings freeze on December 23, 2026. Timely entries receive a cushion of 15 CSR points or 10 Fargo points per player through the event start date.

Deadline What it controls
December 23, 2026 Early entry deadline and ranking freeze date
December 23, 2026 - January 8, 2027 Late window: +$20 singles and doubles, +$60 teams

January 15, 2027 Finalized event start times posted on Compusport

After December 23, entries are accepted on Compusport only. Compusport registration also cuts processing fees by 50 percent. There will be no on-site sign-ups for the 8-ball divisions.

Refunds carry a $10 handling fee, and registration and green fees are not refundable. Late entries are not eligible for the rating cushion or a downgrade, and a late entrant can be moved into a higher division if rankings require it.

Scotch doubles and senior events run at the same time on Wednesday, so players must choose one. The guidelines state that Recreational through Advanced 8-ball singles will not conflict with the team divisions.

What cash and prizes are guaranteed?

The guidelines publish $18,000 in added cash and prizes, split as up to $8,000 for singles and up to $10,000 for teams. The totals include return entry fees to the 2028 Midwest Championships, and every main team-division winner is scheduled to receive a room and entry to the 2028 ACS National Championships.

Lower divisions may be blended when entry counts are small, and Advanced and Master divisions require at least eight singles entries or four teams to run — affected players receive a full refund or a move to another eligible division.

What rules, tables and staff run the event?

Play follows the ACS version of the 8-ball and 9-ball World Pool Rules effective September 2025, and the format is rack your own. Competition uses seven-foot league-cut Diamond tables with Aramith Duramith tournament balls.

The published staff list names Bad Boys Productions and Ric Jones as tournament director, Dwayne Payne as head referee, Janet Ybarra as executive director and Stacey Linerode as tournament administration. Protest appeals to the executive director require a $100 deposit that is forfeited on an adverse decision.

What dress code applies?

Singles players must wear a sleeved golf-style or button-down shirt with a conventional collar, long pants, clean jeans, skirts or shorts reaching the knee, and closed-toe shoes. Yoga-style pants and leggings are permitted. T-shirts, sweats, warm-up suits, swimsuits and cut-offs are not allowed, and earbuds and novelty headgear are banned.

Matching team shirts are mandatory during team competition. One dress-code warning is issued for the entire event; a further violation costs a game, then a match. Medical exemptions require a letter on official letterhead delivered to the head referee before the tournament.
